Scorpion Bucking Units
Handle All of Your Tools With One Machine
The Scorpion line of bucking units, also known as breakout or bucking machines, are accessory-based, allowing companies to configure the machine to the necessary tool sizes for current applications, and adding other accessories later to handle additional sizes. The units can make up tools sized 2-3/8" to 36" in outside diameter, at torque levels of over 100,000 ft-lbs for makeup and at over 150,000 ft-lbs for breakout.
Small Footprint With No Mounting Required
Traditional bucking units have a large footprint and usually require mounting to a surface. Scorpion's bucking machines keep forces contained within the unit and do not need to transfer those forces elsewhere. This allows the machine to be moved to alternate locations using a forklift when necessary and requires less shop planning for implementation. The power pack for the units also has a small footprint. The Scorpion Service Center (SSC) line of bucking unis can handle tools both long and short, and allow for easy, simple operation. The SSC bucking units come in the 600, 1500, and 2000 series versions. All of Scorpion's machines, including the SSC series and portable units are capable of making up and breakout out tools of various sizes.
